Echography is a technique based on ultrasound that creates images of organs and structures inside the human body, without causing any radiation damage. The method is fast, cost-effective and does not pose any health risks. It is particularly suitable for examinations of the abdomen, soft tissues, the thyroid gland, the heart, vessels (thanks to the colour-flow Doppler method) and pregnancies.

I began my training 1995 at the University Hospital of Geneva with the renowned gastroenterologist Philippe SCHOENENBERG, followed by a period spent working with Professor Henry BOUNAMEAUX, former President of the Swiss Angiology Society.

Since 1998, I have completed annual internships at the Hôpital Ste-Marguerite in Marseille with the internationally renowned specialist Dr. Christophe BASTID, in Prof. SAHEL’s unit. This unit is known in particular for having created the standard pancreatitis classification, and Dr. BASTID himself is in charge of interventions and is the author of important publications on hydatid cysts and liver tumours.

I am a member of the Echography Network of Western Switzerland (Groupe Romand d’Echographie) since the early 2000s and I continually further my education by attending seminars at the CHUV in Lausanne or in France.
